Our Cake Booking and Refund Policy.
Booking and Deposits
1. To secure your wedding or occasion date in our calendar, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is required. Your date is only officially reserved once the deposit has been received.
2. Payment Schedule
The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 6 weeks prior to your date. Failure to complete payment by this deadline may result in the cancellation of your order and forfeiture of the deposit.
3. Design Changes
We want your cake to be perfect, but we require finalization of the design early to ensure quality.
- Changes to the design, size, or flavor can be made up until 8 weeks before the wedding or occasion.
- Any changes that increase the complexity or size of the cake will result in an adjustment to the final invoice.
- We cannot guarantee the ability to make changes within 6 weeks of the date, as specialty items and ingredients may have already been ordered.
4. Dietary Requirements and Allergies
We offer various options including gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free recipes.
- Client Responsibility: It is the client’s responsibility to notify us of any known allergies at the time of booking.
- Cross-Contamination: While we take the utmost care with "free-from" orders, our kitchen handles nuts, wheat, dairy, and eggs. Therefore, we cannot 100% guarantee that any cake is completely free from traces of allergens.
- Venue Notification: It is the client's responsibility to inform the venue or catering staff of the allergen information provided by us.
5. Delivery and Set-up
- Fees: Delivery and set-up charges are calculated based on the distance to your venue.
- Liability: Once the cake is set up and signed off at the venue, we are no longer responsible for any damage caused by third parties or environmental conditions (e.g., direct sunlight or unstable tables).
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations (More than 6 weeks notice): Payments made toward the final balance (excluding the deposit) will be refunded.
- Cancellations (Less than 6 weeks notice): No refunds will be issued as work and ingredient procurement will have already commenced.
